Regeneration in The New York Times!
Kelly Witmer, owner of Regeneration in Eagle Rock, was in an article in The New York Times today. Unfortunately, the article was about how the economic downturn has affected the community.
We love Regeneration because it has very cool art, decor and clothing, plus Kelly carries my cards and some of my fine art comic prints framed. And she can't keep Mincing Mockingbird's painting on the walls for very long either. We've bought hand screenprinted t-shirts, made by Kelly, as well as a giant metal "u" from an old sign that we hung in our guest room. She also carries candles, soap, jewelry (some of which she makes), cards, and tons of other fabulous, eco-friendly handmade decor for your home. Her etsy shop, regeneration, carries some of her screen printed clothing.
So if you're out and about in the Eagle Rock area, and need a gift for a really cool, creative friend or family member, or even something for yourself, stop by Regeneration and see what Kelly's offering today.
The other awesome thing about the article, besides the great photo of Kelly, is that behind her you can see two bird paintings by Mincing Mockingbird, as well as one of my framed gocco prints (just next to the blue jay). My brush with fame.
